53 Yoga Tidbits You Should Know
Yoga is huge part of living a clean, sustainable lifestyle because of all of its benefits and universal use. First, I go through what a yogi looks like and then a couple of benefits about Yoga. Everything I go over should be common knowledge. Let's spread the word and kill the "yoga" stereotype and negative stigma.
Are you a yogi?
You could be flexible or not flexible
You could be busy, not busy, lazy, happy, angry
You could be could be in your twenties or in nineties.
You could be a kid, a teen, a parent, a grandparent, a grandgrandparent
You could be a female, a male, or anyone in-between
You could be single or have significant other.
You could be married, divorced, or even widowed.
You could be thin, thick, fit, tall, short
You could have an injury or a chronic pain
You can like booze and burger or really any type of food.
You can go to yoga classes, watch YouTube Videos, or do it on your own.
You can do gentle, moderate, or extreme yoga.
You can do hot yoga or yoga out in nature.
You can do yoga in the kitchen, in bed, in the closet, or even in the shower.
You can do yoga with a mat, with towel, with a blanket, or with nothing.
You could go to a beach or do it the car while you travel
You can wear socks, or no socks, or wear fuzzy socks. But I’d avoid hard wood and yoga in fuzzy socks.
You can wear yoga clothes but you don’t have to.
Yoga is like the cheapest form of exercising, you don’t even need shoes! Just a small space.
You can do yoga for 10 minutes or for many hours.
Yoga isn’t a religion so you can be anyone and do yoga.
You could be a banker, doctor, lawyer, teacher, engineer, social worker, scientist, writer, a princess
You could use essentials oils or skip them
You could sweat, be sore, or feel relaxed after yoga.

What does it do for you?
It improves your flexibility, balance, oxygen uptake,
It builds muscle strength, bone health,
It perfects your posture and protects your spine
It increases blood flow and serotonin levels which makes you happy
It gives you inner strength to build confidence, self-esteem, and self-care (YOU DO YOU)
It prevents cartilage and joint breakdown
It relieves depression, back pain, tension in limbs,
It comforts PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome) and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)
It lowers blood sugar and your risk of diabetic complications
It lowers bad cholesterol and boosts good cholesterol.
It helps your mind and body relax and helps you focus.
It helps you sleep longer and hard
It can help you breathe deeper which can relieve stress
It drains your lymphs and boosts your immune system
It can inspire you to become a more conscious eater but also increase your metabolism, which may make you want to eat a cupcake…
It prevents IBS and other digestive problems. Hello health flow!
It slows down the mental loops of frustration, regret, anger, fear, and desire
It gives you peace of mind which studies show will help you live longer and healthier
It aids fertility and can help you get pregnant
It eases migraines, headaches, and hangovers
It keeps allergies and viruses at bay and can help you recover faster.
It boosts memory and can help you maintain/create new health relationships
It helps you feel gratitude, empathy, and forgiveness
It can keep you drug free and aware of your transformation.
It helps you radiate love and positivity which can help you serve others.
It uses the placebo effect to create change in your lifestyle. Just believing you will get better by using yoga can make you better.
Lastly, and most important. TO SEE ANY OF THESE RESULTS, you have to do it more than once.
Yoga has to be a consistent thing in your life. Do it with your family, your friends, or by yourself.

I do yoga almost every morning. Besides all of yoga's awesome benefits, it helps me the most with relaxing my mind and focusing on the day to come. It helps me make intentional and conscious decisions throughout the day. When I don't do yoga, I can definitely tell the difference in my daily decisions.
Yoga is for anyone and everyone. Don't ever let someone tell you that yoga is lame. Break the stereotype!
